Louisiana State University
Baton Rouge, Louisiana | Theater Ceiling
The stainless mesh ceiling provides a first-of-its-kind aesthetic for the lobby of the student union theater. Beautifully draping, canopy-like curves of metal fabric sculpt the ceiling space for a clean and modern look. It brightens up the formerly dark space to provide a comforting vs. oppressive environment. The system hides structural elements like ductwork, plumbing and wiring, while dividing overhead lighting fixtures for a strikingly symmetrical visual appearance.
"We did some research and really liked the idea of using metal fabric. After looking at a number of sources of the material, we chose Cambridge in the specifications because their product aesthetically worked well and met our technical requirements."
