Music Center at Strathmore
Bethesda, Maryland | Acoustic Wall Panels
The 1,978-seat performing arts center and Washington, D.C. home of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra incorporates beautiful brass mesh wall panels framed in solid maple and birch. In addition to being a spectacular visual element, the mesh – tested for acoustic properties – allows sound to pass into the walls where it is trapped unobtrusively by a heavy draping material.
"This project was difficult and the tolerances were tight. Cambridge met the demands of the space and quickly adapted to project changes on the fly."
