Reservoir Woods

Waltham, Massachussetts | Parking Façade Cladding

The 1,020-acre office complex includes an 871-space open parking structure. Metal fabric on the garage façade serves as a natural ventilator and solar shade. Our engineers were instrumental in working with the architects on pattern selection and layout to increase visual appeal and make the key recommendation to replace small, framed panels with larger tensioned panels. This dramatically reduced the cost of heavy structural supports. The mesh eliminated the need for an expensive HVAC system and reduced fire sprinkler requirements.

"Cambridge’s design-build process worked remarkably well for the Reservoir Woods parking project. Their collaborative efforts with our design and construction team played a vital role in the development of a successful strategy for the garage screening, additionally providing a cost-effective building solution."
