Western Washington University
Bellingham, Washington | Façade Shades
The southwest-facing exterior of the Academic Instructional Center is dressed with a series of long metal mesh panels. Installed in-tension perpendicular to the windows, the mesh meets the sun at the proper angle to shade interior spaces while preserving external views.
"The aesthetic of the Cambridge mesh was very desirable to us, especially the way it is fabricated and the texture that it brings to the building."
