Large metal mesh panels etched with MVC lettering shade a 35-foot glass curtain wall on the college’s Academic Services Facility. The mesh fabric reduces solar heat gain, but its openness still provides significant daylighting and unobstructed views to the surrounding San Bernardino Mountains from the inside. The MVC initials were formed by sandblasting the raw stainless to create a dull matte finish. Additional mesh screens shade other areas of the facility.
