Newseum
Washington, D.C. | Ceiling Panels and Elevator Cladding
The interactive museum included the latest technology and hands-on historical exhibits dedicated to the news. Metal mesh installed within the museum included black-painted panels designed to mask the ceiling and diffuse light to protect exhibits. Elegant stainless panels cladded elevator cabs that transported visitors between the museum’s seven floors.
"The mesh panels were very easy to install and work with because it was a modular system. We just screwed the panels onto the perimeter of the framework. This way, the middle panels can be removed first without any unscrewing, making it very easy to access the systems above the ceiling."
