Cecil College

North East, Maryland | Façade Shading

Constructed on space previously occupied by vacant grounds and parking lots, the Math & Engineering building is the centerpiece of the college campus. Nineteen massive sunscreens – 81 x 350 inches – glimmer while shading the entire façade. The selection of an 80 percent open pattern promotes day lighting and maximizes views from the inside.

"“This building is out front, and it creates a bold sense of arrival, a place of importance here in Cecil County.”"

Dr. W. Stephen Pannill, President of Cecil College, Opening Ceremony Remarks
